Coach’s Notes
No video today, but I want to make a couple of points very clear:
- You don’t have to go for a PR tomorrow. Yes, I understand that is literally what the workout calls for, but working up to a single that’s not a PR is perfectly fine.
- Even if you are aiming for a PR, sometimes it’s just not going to be in the cards. Calling it a set or two early if you feel like it’s just not your day is also perfectly fine.
- Make sure you have a spotter and/or safety racks properly set up. Ideally both.
The moral of the story is, safety and finishing the day healthy should ALWAYS be the number one priority.
I’m not saying not to get after it, quite the contrary. I plan on cranking it up to 11 tomorrow and giving it hell. However, I’m also not going to let my ego allow me to make stupid decisions. I recommend you do the same.
