Coach’s Notes
We have ourselves a workout FULL of Drop Sets today. If you’re not familiar with a Drop Set, we’ll use DB Bench Press as an example.
Start with a set of dumbbells that will be challenging for a set of 10 – let’s say 80s.
As soon as you’re done with the set of 10 with 80s, rerack the 80s and grab a pair of 60s and immediately start another set of 10 with the 60s. Finally, rerack the 60s and grab a pair of 40s for another set of 10. Then, rest.
There is no exact science with how much weight to drop each set. Personally, I usually go with 15 to 20 pounds depending on the weight I’m starting with and the exercise I’m doing.
