Who Are the Tallest Cornerbacks in the NFL? (2023-24)
I’ve been a Sports Performance Coach for twenty years and I’ve always found it impactful to show the Cornerbacks I coached the sizes of NFL players at their position. This has proven over the years to be motivational for players needing to add size and sometimes served as a harsh reality check.
I did the same research this season that I do every year. I poured through the 53-man active rosters for the 2023 NFL season, immediately following the final preseason cuts, a total of nearly 1700 players and broke them down by position.
By popular demand, I have put together this guide focusing on the NFL’s tallest Cornerbacks. Get ready to learn some random, yet interesting, football facts that you can show off to your friends.
The Tallest NFL Cornerbacks
The eight tallest Cornerbacks in the NFL each boast an impressive height of 6’3″ or taller, showcasing a trend towards greater height in this position. This stands in contrast to the average height of a cornerback, which is just under 6’0″.

Final Thoughts
This article highlights the presence of exceptionally tall cornerbacks in the NFL, with several players standing at 6’3″ and above. While these athletes exemplify a trend towards greater height in the cornerback position, it’s important to acknowledge that height alone is not a guarantee of success in this role.
The effectiveness of a cornerback depends on a combination of physical attributes, including agility, speed, and technical skills, alongside the ability to read the game and react strategically. Therefore, while height can be a beneficial attribute, it must be complemented by other skills and abilities to truly excel in the NFL.
