2. Execution:

- The descent should be slow and controlled. This is not a step down and back up. The eccentric is the point of the exercise.
- Lower until the heel of the descending foot just taps the floor, then immediately reverse the movement and return to the starting position by driving through the standing leg.
- The descending foot should not fully load onto the floor (remember, it’s a tap, not a step). All the work stays on the standing leg.
