How To Do Standing Knee Tucks
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Set-Up:
- Stand tall with feet hip-width apart, core braced, and chest up.

2. Execution:
- Lift one knee up toward the chest as high as comfortable while staying tall on the standing leg.
- At the top of the knee lift, grab the shin with both hands and actively squeeze the leg up and in toward the chest to achieve a greater range of motion.
- Elevate on the ball of the standing leg, extending yourself as tall as possible.
- Release the shin and lower the foot back to the floor under control.
- As the foot returns, lift the opposite knee up and repeat.

- Stay tall throughout the movement. The tendency is to hunch forward when grabbing the shin. Work to keep yourself as tall.
- Lift the knee up first, then grab. In other words, don’t reach down for the shin, lift the knee up to meet the hands.
